Lately, there’s been an increase in scam accounts impersonating me on TikTok and other platforms. These fake accounts are reaching out to people pretending to be me, asking for deposits—or worse—full payments for tattoo appointments. I want to make sure you know exactly how to safely book with me and avoid being taken advantage of by these scammers.

Here’s how to tell if you’re talking to the real me:

💖I only use two official emails:

Any other email is a red flag. Please don’t send any payment or personal information if contacted from a different address.

💖I only accept deposits and payments through Vagaro.

  • You will only receive an invoice directly from me via Vagaro.

  • I never use Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, or any other payment platform.

  • I do not have an assistant who collects deposits or payments on my behalf.

If anyone messages you asking for payment through another method, or claims to be helping me manage booking, please report and block them.

💖 I will never cold-message you for a tattoo appointment.

If someone is reaching out to you offering an appointment slot or asking you to pay to secure one, it is not me. I only respond to inquiries submitted through my official booking form at amyporterart.com.

How to spot a fake account:

  • Check the username carefully: My username on all platforms is @amyporterart

  • If the spelling is off, there are extra underscores, periods, or anything strange, it’s not me.

  • Look out for outdated photos or info. Some scammers are using old content to seem legit.

  • New accounts

This account is sharing a link to my website to look legit but you can see the user name is incorrect.

A note about my booking process:

  • I open my books only 3–4 times per year.

  • Booking windows are announced in advance and stay open for only 24 hours.

  • My booking status will always be updated on my official website, Instagram, and TikTok.

If someone tells you they can “squeeze you in early” or “get you a spot now for a fee,” that’s not real. I also do not offer discounts for tattoos. Please wait for an official booking window and use the form on my site.

I do have openings from time to time but I will only post that on my offical Instagram page.

If you're ever unsure, please email me directly before sending any money or information.

Your safety and trust mean everything, and I want to make sure you always feel confident and secure when booking a tattoo with me.

Feel free to share this post with friends or anyone considering getting tattooed. The more people we can educate, the harder it is for scammers to succeed.

Stay safe, and thank you for your continued support. 💛– Amy
